Thanks to your generosity and willingness to help people in need, the treatments of Lorena, Ignacio and Benjamin financed and thus given them a second chance at life despite their leukemia.

These are some of the costs of treatment that the donations were able to cover:

• Medical examinations: The medical examinations include all laboratory and imaging tests carried out on patients both before and after the transplant.
• Pharmaceuticals: The medications are medicines that are intended to prepare the patient for the transplant to be successful. The most commonly used and purchased drug “Jakavi” is intended to help ensure that the transplanted stem cells are not rejected by the body. Each pack of this medication costs approximately EUR 2.920, but it is essential for preparing for a successful transplant. A total of over EUR 25.000 was used to purchase medication.
• Hospital stay: Hospital stays could also be covered. This is approximately EUR 2.300 per patient.
• Consumables: Needed both for preparation as well as during and after the transplant. This also includes the medications used for the various transplant procedures. More than EUR 3.300 was incurred for the consumables.
